So kitschy it’s cool

August 1, 2023

Located about 45 minutes southwest of the twin cities, this loud, obnoxiously yellow, pop-cultured establishment is sort of a must see. Tons of candy, some imported from Japan and Germany, an immense selection of root beer and flavored sodas, and all sorts of nostalgic candy for any Gen-Xer.

***cash and check only*** but they do have ATMs on site.

Huge selection

July 31, 2023

Based on the name I was expecting a lot of candy, but this place blew me away. They also had a lot of sweet and salty snacks (some from foreign countries), many kinds of root beer, Harry Potter candy and butterbeer, cheese, local products such as soup mixes, puzzles… it was overwhelming. The decorations alone make this worth the visit- there’s a large Hulk, British phone booths, and the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle, among other things. The store also has clean restrooms, making it the ideal pitstop on a road trip, but plan on spending at least half an hour here, and probably more.

Experience at least once!

July 21, 2023

I was overwhelmed by how much they have in there. They layout is organized and checkout was a breeze. The only bummer is they don’t accept debit/credit cards, but they make sure you know that before entering the store. They do accept checks and cash and have an ATM inside. Glad to experience at least once. Would only go back if I am driving by it.

So much more than a candy store!

July 17, 2023

What a fun place! So much more than a candy store, with a variety of sodas, toys, candies, baked goods, food mixes…the list goes on and on! Candy ranges from local, foreign, and hard to find. Loads of fun looking around. Helpful staff (thank you, Kristine!). Be aware that it’s cash or check only. There are ATMs in the store.

Become a kid in the candy store…again!

July 1, 2023

I’m not a kid,,, but while in this store, I definitely felt like a kid in a candy store!!! There is everything anyone could ever want here… from gourmet German imported chocolate to $.50 boxes of candy sticks aka candy cigarettes. A million different bottles of flavored sodas ( maple bacon and state fair kettle korn were my two favorites).., and mixes for dip, cakes and shelves of sauces, salsa and dips. It’ll take ya 2 hours just to walk the aisles. It’s a can’t miss spot while driving from twin cities the Mankato while in MN.
